Are you saying that those who volunterred for the armed forces after Sept 11th did not put themselves into those type of situations based on Patriotic reasoning and in support of the Bush white houses decision to go to war?

Why did he chase an injured VietCong into the jungle and shoot him in the back?
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Well, because the vc tried to kill him and his men. See, we were there to kill them, it was his job. The whole swiftboat veterans for bush misrepresentation of this is just so much crap.

Why did he wait until Nixon was POTUS before he voiced his alleged discontent?
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Because Nixon was president when he changed his mind about vietnam. What evidence do you have to suggest otherwise? Why is it so hard for you to accept that vietnam changed people.

Look, I spent time in the VA. I bunked with people who probably never will recover from the PTSD that they succumbed to while they were in vietnam. I know that it ruined many good people. The fact that kerry came away from his time in vietnam hating the people who were keeping it going is no stretch at all.

Why throw his medals away in protest and then 30 some years later brag about having won them?
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Why not? He served honorably and was awarded his medals for bravery and for being wounded in vietnam. He should be proud. Throwing his ribbons and other's medals over the white house fence in protest of the war does not negate that. It was a gesture.

I marched on washington against the war and then volunteered to join. I wasn't against the military, I was against what the politicians were using the war for. You can protest the actions of the government without giving up on it entirely.

The man makes his statements based on the direction he perceives the wind to be blowing IMO.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Kerry does not "flip flop" as the bush campaign would have you believe. They have mischaracterized his record shamelessly and are counting on their base not looking too closely at thier allegations.

If you are going to vote for bush, fine, do so. But don't try and tell me that you're buying the bullshit being put out by the <s>rove</s> bush campaign.

And as I said my opinion will be cast November 2nd. I don't like Kerry and I don't trust him. I have come to like President Bush more as attacks against him from the far left have mounted.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">As I've said before you go ahead and vote for bush if you want to. Then when he continues to screw everyone but the upper economic 10% feel proud that you have voted to give your money to him and his buddies. Bush doesn't like you. He thinks of you as expendable fodder. His whole good old boy, man of the people, bullshit is just that.

A lot of foreign leaders want to see President Bush defeated in November. Yet another reason to support him.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Alienating the whole world is a good thing?!? You continue to subscribe to the arrogant notion that the united states can do as it wants to without regard for anyone else in the world.

Here's a heads up for you. Our military is currently stretched thin almost to the breaking point because idiot bush invaded the wrong country. It looks like he's gonna keep on pushing into other countries (Iran for instance). If we keep on telling our allies to go fuck themselves we are going to find ourselves royally screwed when they turn against us.

We are a powerful nation, no doubt, but the rest of the world is larger and badder.
